Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Lights Up the Las Vegas Sky in Purple Majesty!

Proclamation Received from Clark County Government in Celebration of the Historic Milestone
The glow of purple hues lit up the Las Vegas, Nevada sky Friday, June 24th as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated made history at the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada" sign! The purple bulbs were a symbolic glow of brotherly welcome to the thousands that will convene in Las Vegas for the 80th Grand Conclave in July 21st – 28th. Brother Antonio F. Knox, Sr., 40th Grand Basileus led a delegation of excited members that included Brother Vic Bruinton, Chief of Staff, Brother Leon Pearson, Jr., Grand Marshal and the local Chapters of Kappa Xi and Beta Mu Mu. Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly presented a Proclamation to Brother Knox from Clark County government to acknowledge the historic milestone. Brother Knox stated, "The 80th Grand Conclave is officially underway and it's quite an honor to celebrate this historic moment with the brothers. We are grateful to the Clark County government for this privilege and I extend sincere appreciation to Commissioner Lawrence Weekly for his collegial assistance and leadership."
