Omega Psi Phi Fraternity to Host "UPLIFT & UNITY Summit; Forward As One" In Charlotte
(November 1, 2016) Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated will host the inaugural "UPLIFT & UNITY
Summit; Forward As One," a community forum that is a Call to Action on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Charlotte
Convention Center from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. This event is free to the public and an open invitation for everyone to
attend. Antonio F. Knox, Sr., 40th Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated will lead a dynamic slate of
world renown panelists and experts to discuss critical community issues including the Black Lives Matter initiative in an
effort to bring resolution and offer next steps to the senseless killings of African American males across the nation; the
President's Criminal Justice Reform Legislation, economic disparity, race, discrimination, policing and the critical
importance of getting people out to vote. Charlotte Police Chief Kerr Putney will render greetings and Representative
Alma Adams will also bring greetings.
