Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated Participates in the Ministers March for Justice Atlanta, GA

(August 29, 2017) The "Ministers March for Justice" was held in Washington, DC on August 28, 2017 and the distinguished Men of Omega always on the pulse of history proudly participated in this historic event that started at the Martin Luther King, Jr., national monument. Brother Sherman Charles, Second District Representative and Brother Kevin Brown, Third District Representative were key leaders for the delegation of Brothers that attended and participated. Brother Robert C. Warren, Jr., was appointed to lead the execution of gathering the marshals and was assisted by Brother Conrado B. Morgan. This was performed with superb orchestration. The March passed the White House down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Department of Justice, similar to the route taken by President Barack Obama, 44th President during the parade route of both of his Inaugural celebrations). The Men of Omega were charged with leading the March and securing the position of marshaling in front of Reverend Al Sharpton and the delegation of distinguished leaders.

The staff of the National Action Network (NAN) thanked the Brothers that supported the event and all other events in the past. They stated that they will always call upon the Men of Omega to do the heavy lifting of marshaling. Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network gathered with clergy from across the nation in Washington D.C. Attendees included Brother Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr., and Martin Luther King, III. The event brought together 1,000 ministers, rabbis, imams and civil rights leaders who say they are not pleased by the lack of leadership in the current White House. They are advocating for other groups and individuals to lift their voices and speak up.

Moses, Brother Raymond Bell, Brother John Bratton, Brother Jacques Conway, Brother Dequincy Hentz, Brother Kirk Banks, Brother Bill Bennett, Brother Calvin Marshall, Brother David Street, Brother Rev. George Holmes, Brother Elwood York, Brother Charles Penny, Brother Shahid M. Allah and Brother Conrado B. Morgan.

Brother Antonio F. Knox, Sr., 40th Grand Basileus stated, "Omega has been on the front lines of progressive leadership and participation for generations and it was powerful to see that so many Men of Omega participated in this historic Ministers March for Justice.
