My Brothers,

The Black Veterans, in cooperation with a number of the members of Congress, are working to bring appropriate recognition to Colonel Young. For an extended period of time, they along with Omega Men and others, have worked to get a posthumous promotion of Colonel Young to the rank of Brigadier General.

The weight of the times in which Colonel Young lived prevented him from receiving the fruits of his extensive and impressive work. We now have the opportunity to help correct this historical oversight with Omega Action. We need each Omega Man to immediately contact his Congressional Representative and request that they support the petition of Congresswoman Barbara Lee, in requesting the President to promote Colonel Young.

Additional information will follow regarding the effort to establish a monument in honor of Colonel Young. My Brothers, your action is needed.
