REACH 4: Omega Vote and Omega Psi Phi Introduce a Vision for National Civic Engagement

Four voters. One mission. One powerful opportunity to strengthen civic participation. Omega Vote, in partnership with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is proposing REACH 4, a national nonpartisan civic engagement initiative designed to turn personal relationships into meaningful action ahead of the November 3, 2026, midterm elections. Through the campaign, participants are challenged to identify four eligible voters among their family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, or broader communities and help ensure they have the information and resources necessary to participate in the democratic process.

The initiative is built around a straightforward challenge: CHECK 4, EDUCATE 4, FOLLOW UP WITH 4, and PLAN WITH 4. Participants begin by helping four individuals verify their voter registration, review important deadlines, and identify official voting locations and options. Next, they encourage each person to research candidates, ballot questions, and election issues using credible, nonpartisan sources. As Election Day approaches, participants maintain contact with those same four individuals, help them develop voting plans, and address practical concerns involving transportation, accessibility, and voting requirements.

Getting involved begins with one question: Who are your four? Identify four eligible voters who could benefit from additional information, encouragement, or assistance. Contact each person, help them confirm their registration status through official election resources, and make sure they understand where, when, and how to vote. Continue checking in through Election Day, November 3, to help them navigate questions or obstacles. The goal is to support informed, independent participation, regardless of political affiliation or candidate preference.

As part of the proposed campaign, Omega Vote and Omega Psi Phi envision a national virtual town hall on October 22, 2026, featuring leadership representatives, civic engagement advocates, and invited community voices. Participants would be encouraged to invite four people to the town hall, participate in a formal REACH 4 pledge, and continue engaging their four contacts through Election Day. The campaign’s reach could be substantial: 1,000 participants connecting with four individuals each would generate 4,000 civic engagement contacts, while 10,000 participants could reach 40,000 people.

The message is clear: Do not wait for someone else to make the connection. Be the connection. Through Omega Vote’s proposed REACH 4 initiative, in partnership with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., every participant has an opportunity to help four eligible voters become informed, prepared, and ready to exercise their right to vote. The mission starts with four people, but its impact can extend far beyond November 3.
