Meet Bro. Dr. Baron R. Davis Richland School District Two Superintendent

An educator for more than 20 years, Bro. Dr. Baron R. Davis is Richland School District Two’s Superintendent, and the first African American to hold this position in the district’s 90 plus years history. Dr. Davis served a transition year as the superintendent-elect prior to assuming leadership of the district in 2017.
Richland School District Two is the largest and fastest-growing public school district in the South Carolina Midlands. The school district serve more than 27,000 pre-K through 12th grade students in 40 schools and centers: 20 elementary schools, seven middle schools, five high schools, four magnet centers, one child development center and one alternative school.
Bro. Davis was initiated through the Lambda Lambda chapter at Francis Marion University in 1993.
Dr. Davis has advanced the district’s long-standing commitment to providing superior learning experiences in top-notch facilities. Under his leadership, voters in Richland Two approved a request to borrow $468 million to address district facility needs in the areas of safety and security, academic learning spaces, transportation, technology and arts/athletics.
